Application Instruction
Apply at room temperature.
Stick surface and wrap must be free of moisture.
1. Remove end cap and head from stick.
RapStix TM graphics are 30” long and should be centered
on the shaft. The end cap and head will overlap the
graphics once they are replaced.
Warning; if the head of your stick is hard to remove
mark the point that the head comes to on the shaft and cut
the graphic and apply from that point. In most cases the head
comes off the shaft with ease and you are able to apply
without trimming.
2. Wipe the shaft clean using Windex and remove any tape
or residue. Don’t break a sweat cleaning, just try and get
rid of any tape residue or gunk.
3. Bend and tear away header card from top of graphic at
perforation. Peel away this RapStix R white backer.
4. It is important to apply the wrap straight. To insure this we suggest either using the 90% angle of a
floor and wall or counter top and back splash. Place the graphic, sticky side up, flat on the hard surface
and up against the wall with the RapStix R logo on your left
side. Take the shaft and position it over the graphic so the
RapStix logo ends up at the bottom of your stick when
finished. With the shaft sliding against the wall as a guide, lower it onto
the graphic so it is centered and push down.
An alternative method is to lay the wrap flat on a hard surface, looking over the top
of the shaft, line it up with the edge of the wrap and guide it down until contact is made.
5. Pick the stick up off the floor, your wrap is now stuck to the shaft and
straight. Smooth out the graphic on the “rib” it has stuck
to and then the short tab behind it. Proceed to apply the
graphic to the shaft one “rib” at a time using your
thumbs to press and smooth, taking time to crease the wrap over each ridge, starting in the middle and
working your way out to the ends.
Once complete, run your hands firmly up and down the stick. If you are a few “ribs” into the application process and
get a bubble you can simply lift the material off the shaft
and start over.
6. Reapply end cap and head, avoid disturbing
graphic.
To remove simply peel away from the seam edge. Your
shaft will be clean, gunk free and ready for a new design.
If your stick is bent, you didn’t smooth each rib one at a
time or you didn’t apply straight you may get bubbles. If
applied correctly there should be no bubbles.
Repeated or aggressive stick checking will nick
the product, but it will continue to adhere to your stick. If a
tear or nick occurs leaving a piece hanging, clip it off and
push down to reestablish adhesion around nick or tear.
Intended for use with straight shafts only, tapered or bent
designs will not accommodate product.
